Warehouse Conversion
A North London Warehouse Conversion
A large North London warehouse apartment.
This stunning apartment set over two floors with kitchen and entertainment space in a rather dark basement needed a new layout and natural light.
The apartment was stripped back to it raw materials exposing brick, concrete and steel to allow the building to shine. This project was about exposing and letting the warehouse be a warehouse, which meant incorporating elements like sockets, extractor fan, fire alarms and electrical trunking to all be visible and part of the design.
A new concrete staircase opened up the space and allowed the basement to be floated with natural light. All the Industrial elements like the light fittings, the bespoke steel countertop and the handrail was mixed with a wide oak floorboard to soften the palette and keep the house warm and inviting.
This client had a large art collection and the new space was perfect to showcase some of the pieces as the art pieces became the added colour to the design.
